Training Programs and Professional Development Opportunities
SwissDS-Env (CAS Uni Lausanne): The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Research Data Stewardship, offered by UNIL and EPFL, is a professional program for data stewards, librarians, researchers, and research support staff. It covers research data management, Open Science, legal/ethical issues, networking, and technical advisory skills. Participants complete the core modules first and then choose a certification module - either Biology/Medical Sciences or Social Sciences/Humanities.

Online Courses
This modular e-learning program provides self-paced training on key aspects of research data management and open research data. The content is tailored to researchers, students, and staff within the ETH Domain and is released progressively throughout 2025 as Open Educational Resources.
This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Research Data Management is designed for a broad academic audience and introduces the fundamentals of research data management. The MOOC is maintained by OLOS with the support of the EPFL, HEG-Genève and HES-SO infrastructures.
These videos provide a general introduction into the six phases of the data life cycle, copyright and licenses, data documentation, persistent identifiers and how to handle personal data.
