Originally established at the University of Michigan within the ICPSR, the Love Data Week has become a worldwide event. In reference to love, it is celebrated in the second week of February, during Valentines Day. 

In Switzerland, several higher education institutions offer various workshops, talks and events focusing on research data management, mostly in digital form. The aim is to raise awareness, promote RDM tools and practices as well as guide researchers and other research support personnel in the field of research data management.
