The Open Science Days return to Lausanne on 7 and 8 September 2026, co-organised by EPFL, UNIL, HES-SO, and HEP Vaud. This year's edition brings together researchers, open science specialists, and research support professionals around four key dimensions of open science: legal and ethical aspects, artificial intelligence, collaboration and networks, and creativity and new ideas. Research data management and data stewardship are central threads running through the programme, with sessions exploring how institutions can move beyond compliance and build sustainable, FAIR-oriented data cultures. Attendees can expect a mix of presentations, workshops, and experience-sharing sessions, including perspectives from international speakers as well as practitioners working on the ground in Swiss higher education. Whether you are developing data stewardship services, supporting researchers in making their data FAIR, or shaping institutional open science policy, the Open Science Days 2026 offer a valuable space to exchange, learn, and connect.
